Annual Reports

As we start a new school year and get back in the swing of things, librarians are prepping their libraries for business. Creativity is flowing and library programming ideas are taking shape. Here are a few questions to ponder:

How will you evaluate your usefulness in the school?
Do you keep data to show the administrators exactly what you do?
How are you contributing to the instructional goals of your district?

The answer to these questions is to create a Annual Report. Much like a business report to stockholders, your Annual Report can show your administrators and school board just what you do and why you are so valuable.

Annual Reports are traditionally presented in text/graphs or PowerPoint form. Look at this video report below created in Animoto.

As you start the year, plan ways to collect similar data so that you can create an Annual Report too.
